¡Vamos Ya! 
Executive Director


Lea Watson is the Executive Director of ¡Vamos Ya! (Formerly known as MEYO). She has been the director for the past 3 years, and involved with the program for the past 7 years. She is excited to help grow the program and is passionate about working with San Antonio youth.

Lea started volunteering with ¡Vamos Ya! while she was a freshman at Trinity University. She co-created Peace Camp, a two-week day camp for the children of ¡Vamos Ya!, the summer after her first year and has been it’s director ever since. Lea was recognized for her service as volunteer and intern for ¡Vamos Ya! by the Trinity University Alumni Association for Outstanding Service to the San Antonio Community and awarded the Gold President’s Service Volunteer Award from the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS). Lea graduated from Trinity in 2015 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Studies, Social Issues and Policy. She became the ¡Vamos Ya! Director in July of 2015. In 2018 Lea was selected for the 2018 – 2018 Andeavor Fellows Leadership Program. She joins 17 other nonprofit executive professionals in the premier, one-of-a-kind leadership and nonprofit management training program created by the San Antonio Area Foundation.

Lea hails from a big family of 8 siblings total between her parents and step-parents, and loves when they are all able to get together. She lives in San Antonio with her two dogs and boyfriend Jason and is excited to continue her career and grow her family in the city.


House of Teens


Andrea has a Masters of Science in Nonprofit Management from Our Lady of the Lake, as well as a B.A. in Political Science from Texas State University. A San Antonio area native, she spent the first 12 years of her life in 78207 and returned to this community with the hope to inspire the next generation of Westside Youth to get educated in order to better serve others. When she isn’t at work you can find her binge-watching Netflix, eating Tex-Mex food, or spending time with her cats, family, and friends. 


Peace Pals 


Igancia is a mother of many and a loving wife. She not only works for ¡Vamos Ya! but has also experienced the program as a parent of students that have graduated and gone on to be successful adults. She also works and volunteers her time with the church’s daycare, the Time Dollar, and as a caterer for many community events. She is known in the community for being an amazing cook and caring maternal figure to all, as a member of the church she also an active member of the Women’s group. Igancia has established herself as a community staple and is an important advocate for the Westside. When she is not working or cooking, she can be found spending time with her friends and family being the hostess with the most.


Peace Pals 


Elizabeth is a recent graduate of Trinity University with a degree in Psychology, minor in political science. Originally, from El Paso, she has made San Antonio her new home. She is passionate about education and In addition to supporting our younger program; she also manages our social media and marketing. She ran track all through her university career, and now enjoys spending her time at home re-watching Friends, spending time with her boyfriend and friends, or drinking hot tea.
